Admissions are guided by merit, eligibility and the applicable norms of the concerned authorities.

How admission works

A transparent, merit-based process

Admission to B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. is controlled and supervised by the Department of Higher Education and Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Madhya Pradesh, through online registration and counselling. Selection is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination or another process prescribed by the State Government.

Diploma programme

D.El.Ed.

  • Unreserved and OBC applicants require at least 50% marks in 10+2.
  • SC and ST applicants receive a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.
  • Selection is based on senior secondary merit and the applicable norms of the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh.
  • The minimum age is 17 years as on 1 July of the current academic session.
  • There is no upper age limit.

Degree programme

B.Ed.

  • Unreserved and OBC applicants require at least 50% marks in a UG or PG course.
  • SC and ST applicants receive reservation and relaxation according to government rules.
  • Selection is based on merit in the latest qualifying examination.
  • Admission follows the norms of UGC, the Department of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh, and Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
  • There is no upper age limit.
